After-School Program

The J-Crew After-School Program provides a comprehensive and intensive academic tutoring and social mentoring program for 150 K-12 city students each week. Our tutoring program aims to reduce educational gaps and improve academic achievement to enable students to successfully graduate from high school and pursue post secondary education or vocational training.

Scholarship Program 

The “Support Our Students” Scholarship Fund helps over 150 students with unmet tuition needs for private school, technical school, or college and other related expenses. Students receiving financial assistance must commit to regular attendance in our after-school program to insure they stay on track academically and socially.

Preschool and Kindergarten

The Joshua Group provides a free Preschool and Kindergarten Program unserved three, four, and five year-old children from low income families living in the Allison Hill neighborhood. These classes offer a small student-to-teacher ratio to better provide the individual help the children need.

Summer Learning

The Summer Learning Program for 150 K-8 at-risk neighborhood students provides academic enrichment activities designed to stem summer learning losses for 7 weeksduring the summer. The summer curriculum is designed to address identified areas of student weaknesses as well as to engage students in a broad range of activities including academic lessons, basic Reading and Math skills remediation, enrichment activities, art and nature experiences, and educational field trips.
