S.O.S.
One of Joshua Group's first programs was the S.O.S. (Save Our Students) Fund. Through this privately supported fund, we have placed more than 20 deserving, at-risk high school-aged kids into a private city school as part of our most intensive drop-out prevention mentoring program.
With this fund, potential drop-outs are given a chance to set higher educational standards than they thought possible without the daunting obstacles and distractions that they have faced in the local public school system.
Some of the recent graduates of this program have enjoyed success at places like LaSalle University, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology, Harrisburg Area Community College and the Army Reserve.
