For Families
The Joshua Group EITC Scholarship Organization
Families interested in applying for a Joshua Group EITC Scholarship will need to submit a formal request for a scholarship, provide tax returns and other financial documentation, and complete an interview process with Joshua Group staff. The Joshua Group will award financial assistance based on financial need first. Joshua Group will rank each family's need objectively using financial information provided by the applicants. Awards will be made based upon the number of applicants, the financial need of the applicants, and the amount of scholarship money available. Students of families that are residents of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, or Steelton, Pennsylvania, and are enrolled in Holy Family School, Cathedral School, St. Stephens Episcopal School, Prince of Peace School, or Bishop McDevitt High School are eligible to receive Joshua Group EITC Scholarships. In Pennsylvania income guidelines set household incomes limits at $50,000 with an income allowance of $10,000 for each additional dependent.
A Joshua Group EITC Scholarship cannot exceed the amount of tuition charged by the school nor can it exceed the cost for non-scholarships students attending the same school. Principals from the participating schools may refer deserving students for a Joshua Group EITC scholarship using the Principal referral form, however these students must follow the same application process stated above. If a student withdraws before the completion of the school year all unused scholarship monies will return to The Joshua Group EITC Scholarship Organization to be disbursed at a later date to another student in need of tuition assistance. Students may only use the Joshua Group Scholarships at Holy Family School, Cathedral School, St. Stephens Episcopal School, Prince of Peace School, and Bishop McDevitt High School. Families can be assured that house-hold income figures as well as any financial information used to determine a student's eligibility will remain strictly confidential. Please call the Joshua Group office at 717-236-4464 for more information.
